We will start our trip visiting Tsaghkadzor (means “gorge of flowers”) town, the magical place of forested mountains. It is also home to the 11th century monastic complex of Kecharis, specially built by the royals to honor the 1000th anniversary of Jesus Christ.
The ropeway of Tsaghkadzor is located on the eastern slope of Mount Teghenis. From the height of 2819 meters, where the speedy chairlift will take you in 32 minutes, all of Armenia is visible at a glance.
Our next stop is lake Sevan, situated at the height of 1900m above sea level and surrounded by a vast chain of mountains. We will also visit the monastery of Sevanavank, situated on the Sevan peninsula from where you can enjoy an unforgettable panoramic view of the lake from the top.
Next stop is Dilijan, otherwise referred to as "Armenian Switzerland" for its fantastic natural forests. The town is a part of Dilijan National Park.
The last destination during this trip will be the monastery of Haghartsin, dating back to the 10th -14th centuries. The name is translated as “the play of the eagle”. It is one of those spots in Armenia that feels like a breathtaking unreal movie set. The monastery has been recently renovated by donation of Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qassimi, the Ruler of Sharjah, who was impressed by the monastery when visiting it.
